Hot on the heels of their recent announcement of the RAF Museum Hendon as
the new venue for the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition on March
11th 2010, the Organisers have just launched a brand new multi-function
website for the show which may be viewed at www.fastening-solutions-
exhibition.co.uk.
A key innovation on the new site will be of particular value to
manufacturing personnel: the latest animations and videos posted by
exhibitors which show exactly how the newest fastening and assembly
products work. In addition, FAST Magazine’s Editor has included his
choice of some of the most interesting fastening and assembly articles
that have appeared in the journal recently, and site users can also
follow the exhibition news on Twitter for the first time. The site also
features a refreshed ‘Find a fastener/brand/supplier’ facility offering
users instant access to almost 1,000 suppliers and providing instant
search results on just about every type of fastener, adhesive, hardware
or adhesive tape available for OEM users.
Visitors can use the site to pre-register to attend the exhibition with
the incentive not only of meeting the top suppliers in the industry, but
also the attraction of seeing the fantastic RAF Museum at the same time
too. Outside rush hour, the venue is less than 20 minutes from the M25/M1
interchange, making it easily accessible from all points in the South and
Home Counties. There is abundant free parking immediately adjacent to the
exhibition, and entry to the RAF Museum is free of charge. As well as the
huge number of rare and historic aeroplanes and other artefacts on
display, the museum also stages special features of topical interest:
recent examples include a close-up look at the Chinook, a focus on Air
Traffic Control, the history of Princess Mary’s RAF Nursing Service, a
special feature on the early transatlantic crossings – and to mark 70
years since it took place, “Their Finest Hour” exhibition at the museum
is taking a detailed look at the Battle of Britain.
Added Mark Newby, M.D. of organisers Newbycom, “This is an exciting new
website and an exciting new venue – as with previous events we will once
again be providing pre-registered VIP visitors with a complimentary
luncheon voucher worth £5, which means that in addition to solving
fastening, adhesives and assembly related challenges, our visitors can
relax a little during their time at the show and enjoy the fantastic
venue to the full. However, the number of VIP visitor places is limited
so we are urging manufacturing professionals who would like to attend to
register now.” Further information can be found at www.fastening-
