Proprietary and bespoke custom-made hardware components, including
hinges, handles and gaskets, are headlining at the Fastening & Assembly
Solutions Exhibition on October 29th at the National Motorcycle Museum,
Birmingham.
The fast-paced development and continued introduction of new and
innovative hardware continues to meet the needs of manufacturers and
installers of cabinets, enclosures, equipment housing, road and rail
vehicles, guarding, street furniture, packaging machinery, storage
equipment, process and production lines, HVAC, display equipment, etc etc.
The Exhibition organizers, Newbycom, explained “standard hardware like
hinges, handles and gaskets get absolutely everywhere – to the point that
it is often crucial to a successful completion of a project but easily
overlooked until the last minute. We at Fastening & Assembly Solutions
are delighted to have some of the foremost companies in the marketplace
exhibiting at the show. They are all committed to improving designs,
enhancing quality and driving down costs.”
Exhibitors include FA Parkes (www.faparkes.co.uk) with their ranges of
locks, handles, hinges, gas springs, gasketing, accessories and rod sets.
These are expected to interest engineers of enclosures, motor vehicles
and all types of engineering works. They are supported by a customizing
and kitting service.
Dirak (www.dirak.co.uk) who will highlight some of their SNAP-LINE
products which allow for tool-less assembly. SNAP-LINE elements such as
hinges, handles, locks and latches simply snap-in to a housing panel or
door to provide a secure and vibration-proof installation.
Hall-Fast (www.hall-fast.com) will be exhibiting a wide range of hardware
that includes tube inserts, knobs, handles and handwheels, as well as
adjustable feet and bearing slides.
The Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition takes place at the National
Motorcycle Museum Birmingham on October 29th 2009. The venue is adjacent
to the NEC and offers plenty of free parking right outside the main
entrance. VIP Visitors to the show (i.e. currently employed manufacturing
personnel) who pre-register in advance have the added advantage of a free
Luncheon Voucher, and all visitors also receive a free museum pass
(otherwise costing £6.95). Pre-registration may be done at www.fastening-
