New coil fed cutting & inserting wadding machine for closures

MACA Engineering, of San Quinion Italy, has released a new design coil-
fed, cutting-inserting wadding machine for plastic and metal
caps/closures.

The TID/4 machine cuts liners from coils and inserts them into aluminium
or plastic caps.

It has an output speed from 8,000 to 36,000 pieces per hour, depending on
the number of punches and closure type.

Features include:-
* A horizontal de-coiler that allows the feeding of a complete pallet of
coil rolls directly from the pallet to the machine thereby minimizing
operator intervention
* A coil advancement system with a linear motor
* Die tool with 2 columns allowing the possibility of 1 to 4 cutting /
inserting punches according to the required output and the closure size
* Shears for cutting the scrap coil at each stroke for reducing scrap bulk
* Simplified coil junction (beginning/end) and detection of the junction
applied by the coil supplier

MACA is a leading supplier of high speed precision machinery for the
production of metal caps, including wadding and inserting, cap assembly
and cap sliting (for tamper evident bands) equipment.

MACA Engineering is represented in Oceania by HBM Plastic Technologies.
